My work at my university’s Henderson Television studio involved several jobs from director to grip. I primarily shot and edited b-roll footage for the weekly news broadcasts, but I certainly filled in every position at least once each. Here is a short collection of episodes I worked on during my time on staff and in practicum.
“Henderson Today:” Sept. 5, 2017. Role: additional footage of blood donor spot.
“Henderson Hashtag:” “I Am Emily Doe” preview. Role: director.
“Henderson Today:” Oct. 3, 2017. Role: additional footage.
“Henderson Today:” Oct. 27, 2017. Role: audio.
“Henderson Hashtag:” Nov. 9, 2017. Role: floor manager.

My first college video project was over a year ago, but even with my lack of skill at the time, I managed to direct, edit, and produce a mini documentary. The film covers the preproduction work of theatre students and professors to pull off their own showing of “Avenue Q.”
“HSUonAvenueQ” mini documentary, first full video project. Roles: writer, director, and editor.

“Timepieces:” I spent less than a year with a GoPro Hero3+, getting photos, footage, and time lapses from every place I traveled to for the first time.
I consider the project incomplete because I plan to continue adding content to this video over time. It is more of a personal project, but I promote the video as gallery of my work using the GoPro Hero3+ Silver edition. Roles: director, camera work and grip, and editor.

“Innovative Media Promo:” Innovative Media is a new degree at my university. I was asked to collect and create content on current projects and programs that the department has to offer, and edit it all together with music. The film is used during promotional and recruiting events, and will be uploaded to the Innovative Media website soon.
I did not provide/film all of the content myself, but I did shoot some of it. Editing was my main focus for this project. Roles: manager, editor, and content contributor.

“Casual Sex Talk” is a series I started to combine my interests and skills in media, entertainment, psychology, and sex/gender/sexuality. The series is a visual podcast wherein fellow students, professionals, academics, experienced friends, and I discuss our research on sex, health, gender, sexuality, and related subjects.
This was a personal project that turned into a final academic project to complete my second degree. A lot of research and studying goes into the shows, but I honestly enjoyed making these episodes as well. The first season will continue until the very beginning of 2018.

For a local musician, I shot a music video as a preview to his album release. It was released in time for Halloween, and was a sort of kitschy homage to old, corny horror films. From intentional continuity to over sexualized characters, people enjoyed the humor behind the project. Within a week, we had over 5000 views. No other projects of ours had garnered so much attention so quickly. We are currently preparing for a second music video together.
“Death Strip Club” from the “Pepperbox” album by Daniel Renfro. Role: all footage.

I also regularly appear on Dustin “TheoryofN” Lagaly’s Twitch stream for an array of videogame play-thru’s.
